Veterinary Exam

Contact our team to schedule your pet's next wellness exam.

A veterinary exam is not the type of exam that causes you stress. Rest assured that our veterinarians will answer all your questions about your pet's health. During the vet exam, our trained vets conduct a physical check to examine your pet's health and well-being.

What does a veterinarian check during the physical exam?

During a vet exam, a veterinarian starts by inspecting the pet's general appearance. After this, they check the body condition, level of attentiveness and reaction to the environment, posture and gait, hydration level, body weight, temperature, and heart rate. The vet also inspects the limbs, neck, abdomen, and genital area. Based on the external examination, the vet makes a preliminary diagnosis.

Can my pet be vaccinated during the veterinary exam?

Yes, if your pet is due for their vaccines on the same day as the veterinary exam, our veterinarian will give your pet the necessary vaccine during the checkup.

Can I discuss my pet's nutrition and diet needs during the veterinary exam?

Yes, you can take this opportunity to discuss all your concerns about your pet with the veterinarian. Based on the concern, the veterinarian can inspect it further or answer your questions. It is recommended that you bring a list of all the questions to each veterinary exam appointment. Book your pet's next vet exam by calling us at 519-360-4508.
